The BitNami Manager Tool is a simple graphical interface that can start and stop the BitNami servers that are located in the same installation directory. To start the utility, double click the file named ‘manager-windows’,‘manager-linux’ or ‘manager-osx’ from your file browser.
How to configure the hostname from the manager tool?
Some applications like WordPress, Moodle, etc requires to specify the IP address to access to the applcation. The Hostname or IP address is configured to the machine IP address by default during the installation.
You can select the following options:
- Custom: In case you want to specify your domain name. For instance example.com.
- Local: Configures the application IP address to 127.0.0.1. If you set this option you can always access from your own computer always but others will not be able to access from your local network. This is a solution for developers.
- Autoconfigure: Gets the IP address from your machine and configures the application to be accessible from your local network.
